KTW Import & Distribution Sp.z.o.o is a subsidiary company of the KTW Group in Poland & Europe. “Kakhetian Traditional Winery” is one of Georgia’s most extensive wine and spirits production companies, employing more than 2,500 people.
KTW Group owns ten wine and spirits shops, three wineries, two fruit and honey processing enterprises, three restaurants, one hotel, and a Chateau. The company’s history begins in the 19th century, when Anthimoz Chkhaidze founded a wine cellar in Askana, Guria. Before the turn of the century, in 2001, with new strength and energy, Anthimozi’s son, Zurab Chkhaidze, carried on with the tradition of his great-grandfather and founded the company – “Kakhetian Traditional Winery.” Consequently, due to hard work and ongoing development, KTW Group became the largest wine-producing company in the Georgian market.
Let’s continue the tradition together! – The goal, which later became the slogan of the KTW Group, fully expresses its main aspirations and values. At the beginning of the activity, the company employed only a few people who were united by the love of vines and wine. A group of people with shared values set a specific goal – to create a quality Georgian product saturated with history and combined with modernity. With this vision, the company has become the country’s leading brand in wine and alcoholic beverages, winning many victories internationally. Each award is an additional motivating force to step up to modern challenges, and as our company’s slogan says, “Let’s continue the tradition together.”
Zurab Chkheidze founded the company "Kakhetian Traditional Winery" in 2001 and has been the president of KTW Group since then. Today KTW Group is the largest wine and brandy-producing company in Georgia, selling in over 30 countries worldwide while also being the export leader of Georgia.

"Guramishvili's Marani" – the brand under its label produces wine and classic champagne using Georgian Traditional Methods. Wine is made from ancient, endemic varieties of grapes from the Kartli Region. In the process of wine production, parallel with the integration of modern technologies, the authentic flavor of wine is preserved, which is what the traditional dry wine of the Kartli region should have. Bottled wine is aged for at least 6-7 months and is sold after 2-3 years at most. Sparkling wines are made using the classical or bottled method. After fermentation in the bottle, the wine is fermented for at least half a year and, at most, 4 to 5 years. Ice wine is also produced in the Guramishvili's Marani, for which the drying or freezing method is used.
To produce high-quality wine and popularize Gurian vine varieties, in 2021, the KTW Group built the Chateau Askana plant and cellar in Guria, in the village of Askana. Here, still, wine by the European method, sparkling and aged wine in oak barrels by the classic method is produced. The wine in Chateau Askana is made from outstanding bunches of grapes grown from different regions together with Guria. Imereti: Tsolikauri and Krakhuna; Racha-Lechkhumi: Tsolikauri; Adjara - Chkhaveri; Guria: Sakmiela, Tsolikouri and Chkhaveri. It should be noted that both pink and white wines are made from the Chkhaveri variety. The duration of aging of sparkling wine is a minimum of 1.5-2, a maximum of 4-5 years, and the bottled aging of still wine lasts 6-7 months. The plant can process 100-120 tons of grapes during the vintage.
"Chateau Manavi" wine is produced in Kakheti's "Chateau Manavi" enterprise. Chacha and the brand are united together with 14 still and sparkling wines under the brand. The wine is produced in oak barrels for six months, as in the European method, which gives it a unique taste and aroma. Unlike the traditional 45 degrees, "Chateau Manavi" chacha is 52 degrees, and unique grape varieties, such as Kisi, Khikhvi, and Manavi Green, are used for its production.
The Special Collection wine is one of the KTW Group's successful production lines, and it is the best example of preserving tradition and authentic tastes. The line includes 12 positions, which are produced in limited quantities yearly. Eight types of wine are made following the 8000-year-old tradition, and 4 of them - are by the method of the Italian oenologist and winemaker Vittorio Fiore. Here, it is important to use filters that keep the unique aroma of the drink. Unique Collection includes only dry and semi-sweet types. Saperavi, Muscati, Chkhaveri, Tsolikauri, Kindzmarauli, and others are among them. The company Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking has been operating in the Georgian market since 2001. Today, it actively produces still and sparkling wines, as well as brand and Chacha, and has been maintaining a leading position in exports for more than 12 years.
Qvevri wine is produced in Kakheti, in the cellar of Velistsikhe Veranda, using the traditional Georgian method. The line combines only two positions: "Saperavi" and "Rkatsiteli" of the pitcher. Cultivation in Qvevri adds a distinctive taste and aroma to the wine. "Saferavi" is characterized by cherry color, firm tannins, and berry and plum aromas. And "Rkatsiteli" is straw-colored, with tones of walnut and dried fruit
"Old Kakheti" is a brand that has maintained its export leadership for a distant future. The history of "Old Kakheti" begins in 2001, when KTW Group decided to actively engage in the process. The main direction of "Old Kakheti" is producing a brand using white grape variety wine. Because grapes are distilled, a brand is created with different aging. Furthermore, seven brand names and 31 stills, sparkling wine, and chacha are united under "Old Kakheti." Chacha is produced using the traditional Georgian method, and wine, as in the European process, is aged in oak barrels for six months.
Under the brand "Tabla," 7 names of red and white wines are united and produced in the Kakheti region using traditional and European methods. The "Tabla" line includes dry, semi-dry, and semi-sweet wines in 0.750 and 1.5 liter volumes.
